The flagship of luxury destinations, the Mall of Emirates in Dubai, has welcomed more than 40 million visitors annually since 2005 and is home to shops of the world's leading fashion brands. In addition, the mall offers top-class gastronomy and entertainment, such as Ski Dubai and one of the largest cinemas in the Middle East.

The mall is also one of the largest shopping malls in the world, and DESIGNA is proud to be the supplier of a parking management system that can cope with a high load: more than 30,000 vehicles enter and leave the mall every day.

The "Ticketless Parking Experience" project for registered customers has recently been launched succesfully in the Mall of Emirates. Together with ilogs, our partner KTC International in Dubai and the customer Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), the pioneer for shopping centres, retail and leisure activities in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, the project has been planned and realized swiftly. Initially, all 40 lanes were equipped with LPR (License Plate Recognition) cameras; features such as App & Web, Frequent Parker and Mobile Payment were then implemented. Pre-booking is also in preparation, as is the expansion of the concept to all parking customers.

Sophisticated customers demands highly convenient solutions

The benefits are obvious: with "Ticketless Parking", DESIGNA and ilogs once again prove what it means to park comfortably. The customer enters and leaves the car park barrier-free, without waiting times and without worrying about ticket loss.

The operator benefits from lower service costs and high profitability, while at the same time making a contribution to the environment as paper tickets are no longer required.

But how exactly does the parking process work with "Ticketless Parking" in the Mall of Emirates? When entering the parking garage, the barrier opens automatically... Magic? Not at all. With the previously downloaded "MOE App" the registered customer approaches the barrier and engages "Ticketless Parking". Based on the data entered and by means of license plate recognition, the car is registered at the entrance and exit: The barriers open. Payment is made conveniently via mobile payment.
