New colleagues strengthen the team

DESIGNA has experienced tremendous growth in recent years with its very successful entry into the American market. DESIGNA USA has significantly invested in, expanded and strengthened its business development staff in the U.S., focusing on maximizing opportunity through partnerships with strategic technology and integration partners.

New regional sales leadership includes

• KT Burns, Business Development Director, Major Projects
• Igor Shapiro, Regional Sales Manager, West
• Andrew Rose, Regional Sales Manager, East
• Kent King, Regional Sales Manager, Central

KT Burns joined the Major Projects Team as the Business Development Director located in Southern California. With a background in wireless technology and business development, she worked for Sprint for over 15 years to develop the West Region Public Sector segment, which included municipalities, state and federal bodies and the healthcare industry. “I helped build and address wireless coverage in numerous healthcare systems, city infrastructures, federal bodies and military bases,” states KT Burns. “It was an absolute pleasure to be able to provide wireless coverage to our first responders, healthcare professionals and military personnel.”

Igor Shapiro is DESIGNA’s Western Regional Sales Manager. He is a seasoned parking industry professional with over 10 years of experience in parking operations, special events, parking related technology, and business development. Igor has first-hand experience working in several sectors of the industry, such as municipalities, airports, and large retail and entertainment complexes.

Andrew Rose has joined the DESIGNA team as Eastern Regional Sales Manager, where he is responsible for business development on the East Coast, working with end users, consultants, and parking operators. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Andrew began his sales career with Hormel Foods. He developed a strong background in parking as Regional Sales Manager for a major smart parking manufacturer.

Kent King joined DESIGNA as Regional Sales Manager, Central. During the past four years, Kent has been dedicated to the parking industry, working with operators and multiple vertical markets including mixed-use, hospitals, airports, and large entertainment facilities. Kent will be based in the Chicago office.

This U.S. sales leadership growth arrives with the completion of system installations for Piedmont Atlanta Hospital with integration partner ITR, as well as the four airports of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. DESIGNA is also launching several new high-profile projects for installation in early 2020, including the City of Grand Rapids, with integration partner Light & Breuning; Children’s Hospital of Dallas, with integration partner NextGen; Denver International Airport and Miami International Airport.
